Close / Open 2020 - 2021
The annual Close / Open period is now underway. During this period of time, all departments are expected to conduct processes that relate to closing Fiscal Year 2020 and opening Fiscal Year 2021. Here you will find the annual Close / Open Calendar on the CTR Intranet (a connection through MAGNet or VPN required), with links to job aids that will assist your staff in completing each process. Due to the current pandemic, dates may change regularly so please check back frequently for updates, which will also be announced in the CTR Weekly Update e-mail blast.
The Close / Open Calendar dates are requirements that enable departments and the Office of the Comptroller (CTR) to appropriately conduct the financial business of the Commonwealth, and to fully adhere to campaign finance law.
Despite the current state of emergency, the process for Close / Open remains the same this year. All departments are expected to comply with all calendar deadlines. Given the extraordinary circumstances presented by the current situation, CTR is willing to assist departments in completing the requirements. Additionally, we have scheduled the Close / Open Meeting for Monday, May 18 from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M via Zoom. This meeting will be a chance for each department to ask CTR any questions relating to Close / Open. Register for the Zoom webinar.
