As the Executive Sponsors of the Business Enterprise Systems Transformation (BEST) Program, we are pleased to announce that an agreement has been executed with Workday as the software solution provider, and Accenture as the system implementation partner. This milestone marks the beginning of Phase 2 of the BEST Program and represents a significant step forward in delivering transformational, world-class solutions for the Commonwealth.
Through this procurement, the Commonwealth has secured a modern, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform specifically designed to meet the complex needs of state government. This investment lays the foundation for reimagined business processes, enhanced user experiences, and innovative technologies that will better serve our workforce and the communities we support while positioning the Commonwealth as an employer of choice now and into the future.
This agreement allows us to leverage Accenture’s deep experience of implementing Workday solutions and their proven track record delivering large-scale transformations across the public sector. Their expertise, combined with Workday’s leading SaaS platform, positions the Commonwealth to successfully deliver a modern, integrated Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and Time & Attendance solution that meets the needs of today and is scalable to adapt for the future.
We recognize and deeply appreciate the many staff across agencies who partnered with the BEST Program over the past year and a half towards this goal. Your subject matter expertise and insights were instrumental in identifying opportunities to improve our current Human Capital Management, Payroll, and Time & Attendance systems. Your contributions directly informed the selection of a solution and implementation partner that will support more than 95,000 employees who rely on HR/CMS and MassCareers today.
As we move into implementation, we ask for your continued partnership and support. Delivering on the promise of these transformational, world-class solutions will require strong collaboration across the Commonwealth. The BEST Program will continue to engage subject matter experts from across agencies to support design, configuration, testing, and deployment of the Workday platform.
