Block Scammers from Repeat Scam Attempts

The text "Cybersecurity Tip of the Week"

Do not respond in any way to suspected scams trying to contact you via phone, email, or social media. Do not give any personal information or login credentials to unfamiliar solicitors. Responding, even to “unsubscribe”, lets fraudsters know that there is an actual person on the other end and will open you up for future scam attempts.

On your phone: Consider registering your phone on the National Do-Not-Call list. Block scam or spam callers on your phone, and explore antivirus/antispam subscriptions or apps.

In your email: Add spam/scam emails to your “Blocked Addresses” list, and if a suspicious email comes into your work account, notify your IT/Security staff immediately.

Social media: Block any suspicious contacts and do not respond.

In addition to your normal incident response protocols, please contact  [email protected] with any incidents or suspected incidents of fraud or cyber-attacks or if you need assistance with internal controls.
