Recapping Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Cybersecurity Awareness Month / #31Days of Cybersecurity

After 31 Days of Cybersecurity you now have lots of great content to share with your staff to support ongoing cybersecurity internal controls. Check out our Cybersecurity Tips page at CTR Cyber for content, highlights from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Technology Services and Security Information Security Standards. We also have a new CTR Cyber 5 video with corporate attorney Jennifer Sanders.

Look at our new free short Employee Cybersecurity awareness trainings that you can send to your employees as refreshers. It only takes one click to take down systems, so taking this step to have your employees watch these short videos is basis due diligence and supplements your mandatory employee trainings.

Don’t miss any of content by following the Office of the Comptroller on FacebookTwitter, and LinkedIn.

Check out our social media to see where the PVR logo is popping up and post on social media #CTR-PVR-PauseVerifyReport with pictures and posts where you use this logo, Spread the word to PVR!

WATCH OUT FOR LATEST FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN SCAM: The FBI and U.S. Department of Education are warning of student loan repayment and forgiveness scams.  Fraudsters promise reductions or cancellations of loans “for a small fee”. Aggressive advertising, threats that you will lose your opportunity if you don’t act quickly, or asking for ANY personal information, such as FAFSA ID and password, should all be red flags of fraud. Always work directly with your student loan provider. The only official website for federal student debt relief is: Debt Relief | Application | Federal Student Aid.

See our CTR Cyber page for more cybersecurity internal controls and Department should contact [email protected] with any incidents or suspected incidents of fraud or cyber threats or if you need support from our Statewide Risk Management Team.
