Paid Family and Medical Leave

Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) is a statewide program that provides eligible employees job protection and temporary income replacement during qualifying leave. PFML Leaves include:

Benefits that took effect on January 1, 2021: Leave related to the eligible employee’s own illness/injury; the birth, adoption, or placement of a child in foster care; or to care for a covered service member or qualifying military exigency due to a family member’s call to active duty.

Benefits that take effect July 1, 2021: Leave to care for a family member with an illness/injury.
