Watch Out for Scam Emails Pretending to be from IT staff

The text "Cybersecurity Tip of the Week"

With IT staff routinely updating and patching systems and equipment, cybercriminals are spoofing email addresses to appear to come from IT staff, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, or other common applications. These emails instruct staff to update passwords, confirm credentials, click on links or download files. DO NOT respond to such emails. Always confirm with IT staff directly before taking action on any instructions received by email. Normally, IT staff will contact staff in advance about routine updates and provide instructions. When in doubt – check it out!
