Use of personal devices for work must adhere to department policy

Graphic with a red pause button, a yellow check mark, and a green play button and the words pause, verify, report on the go underneath.

State employees who are commuting or traveling away from their secured workstations should use caution and follow department policy around using personal devices for work.  Hackers are lurking and seeking to compromise employee personal devices so they can hack into Commonwealth networks. In addition to the danger this poses to work network, personal and family devices, data, and bank accounts are at risk as well.

Action Steps

State employees should PAUSE and ensure they are following department telework policy before attempting to access work networks, sites, emails, and files from a personal device.

VERIFY with your manager and IT staff approved alternatives and settings you need to have if you have a personal device that’s been approved for work.
