Is it Spring Cleaning Time for Your Mobile Apps?

The text "Cybersecurity Tip of the Week"

Mobile apps on your smartphone and mobile devices provide convenient tools and entertainment for you and your family. However, those that are not used and updated frequently can expose your devices to unwanted cyber attacks.

As part of good cyber hygiene, take some time to update all the apps on your devices to include all the latest security patches. Delete those that are no longer being used. Check your settings to see what permissions have been given for access to your personal information, such as location and photos, and remove it or limit to only when the app is being used. Refrain from signing in to apps from social media accounts, and verify that they were downloaded from reputable sources. Using and updating long and strong passwords significantly increases protection for you and your family, and is a good habit for continuing cyber awareness.

In addition to your normal incident response protocols, please contact [email protected] with any incidents or suspected incidents of fraud or cyber attacks, or if you need assistance with internal controls.
